Fortnight is a survival shooter that was introduced to the gaming community in 2017. It is a free-to-play game that has already won dozens of awards and can be considered one of the most popular in esports. Let's take a closer look at the gameplay and the main features of the Fortnite game.

Game Modes: 4/5

The original version of Fortnite: Save the World is a survival game in which one player or a squad of several people must fight against zombies and complete various in-game missions. Previously, this game was free, but since 2019 it is no longer such. The next edition, Fortnite Battle Royale, received a completely revamped game concept. As the name suggests, the game was released in the battle royale genre - 100 players compete on a huge map to determine the only survivor or team. This edition has attracted a lot of attention from the gaming community and has collected over 120 million fans in less than a year of its existence. Fortnite's Creative Mode was launched in 2018. It allows players to create their game map, customize the appearance of the island, as well as independently place various game objects.

Characters: 4/5

  • All Fortnight heroes are divided into 4 classes:
  • Soldiers - fight on the front lines, attack zombies, and protect their allies;
  • Ninja - agile heroes with a high attack speed;
  • Builders are the slowest heroes, but possess important building skills;
  • The aliens are focused on finding valuable items and resources.

Each class includes a certain set of heroes. However, the developers regularly add new skins and equipment to the game that will allow you to play even as the popular movie character - John Wick.

Fortnite Esports 5/5

The Battle Royal edition has become a world-famous esports discipline. One of the greatest championships, the Fortnite World Cup, took place in 2019. The tournament involved competition between players in 4 main categories: single player, team play, creative mode, and the Pro-Am charity competition. The prize fund of the world championship was $ 30 million and was divided among all the winners.

In April 2020, Epic Games announced their new $ 2 million Fortnite tournament. The Fortnite Champion Series Invitational Qualifier kicked off on May 2, and the Main Event started on May 9. The competition had a solo format, and a total of over 500 players took part in it.

Overview: 4/5

Fortnite Battle Royale is now considered the mainstream game and recognized esports discipline. The main goal of the game is to stay alive and protect those who survived the storm. The Fortnite League is quite young, but it has already broken many records. Professional Fortnite players and teams have gained recognition in the esports community and will continue to make great strides in their careers through Epic Games tournaments.
